Our Mission

ORIGIN

FROM STRUGGLE TO STATEMENT

FROM TIRZ began with a single collection designed by founder Tiraj Lucas—a self-taught fashion designer, poet, and lawyer. Holding those first pieces was more than starting a brand; it was proof that resilience can be worn. Built from lived experience and fueled by storytelling, FROM TIRZ was created to transform pain into power and redefine how the world views streetwear.

FROM TIRZ

PURPOSE

DECRIMINALIZE STREETWEAR

Streetwear has too often been treated as a threat in minority communities, rather than an art form and expression of identity. FROM TIRZ exists to rewrite that narrative. Our message has gained visibility through features on Good Day Columbus, the Columbus Dispatch, and the FIRST Streetwear Brand to walk the runway at Fashion Week Columbus. We’ve also collaborated with Sole Classics, building collections that merge culture, advocacy, and style. Each release is a statement: that our clothes are not criminal, they are powerful.

LEGACY

THE MOVEMENT

FROM TIRZ represents those who have been overlooked, underestimated, or criminalized for simply being themselves. We create for the community that turns struggle into strength and silence into style. Featured on Good Day Columbus and across media platforms, our work continues to amplify voices and spark change. FROM TIRZ isn’t just about fashion—it’s about rewriting narratives and building a movement grounded in resilience, pride, and community.
